HanSight, a cybersecurity venture, has closed its Series C funding led by 360 Group, after it received investments from IDG Capital last year. On the back of a growing threat of Internet frauds and cyber attacks, HanSight develops cloud-based big data analytics platforms to help organizations quickly identify patterns from their raw files and block the attacks. 360 Group commented that the HanSight is a strategic fit and HanSight's machine learning capability of the startup will shape the future of cybersecurity.
While the legacy cybersecurity tools require extensive human interaction such as manually setting up and maintaining the firewall, the new generation of firewall will involve machine learning capabilities to identify the relationships between threats, such as malicious files, suspicious IP addresses or insiders within seconds, according to IBM. As a startup with merely five years of operating history, HanSight became the only Asian SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) provider selected by Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer Report with the highest score. Today, HanSight serves hundreds of clients including the state-owned banks and small-sized organizations. It has also developed relationship with top academic institutions as well as tech giants Baidu and Huawei.
