On the morning of Tuesday, August 11th Beijing time, the 12th Automotive Blue Book Forum opened in Wuhan, and Wang Jun, who leads the Auto division for Huawei shared Huawei's two strategies during a roundtable. One is that Huawei will use ICT technology to create parts with better performance and lower prices. Wang Jun revealed that Huawei has an optoelectronic technology research center in Wuhan and the center is developing lidar technology, and the goal is to quickly develop a 100-line lidar in a short period of time. In the future, it is planning to reduce the cost of lidar to USD 200 (about CNY 1390), or even USD 100 (about CNY 695). The second strategy is to develop the underlying software on a large scale. In Wang Jun's view, the underlying software provided by Huawei will help automakers develop cars faster and accelerate the iteration of their products. This will lower the barriers for other players to enter the field of smart electric vehicles, and quickly launch products on the platform provided by Huawei.
