On September 26, at the 2020 Beijing International Auto Show, Ford's first 100% pure electric SUV Mustang Mach-E made its debut in China, marking Ford's official entry into the pure electric vehicle track. Anning Chen, President and CEO of Ford China, said at the press conference that Zhu Jiang, who has extensive experience in new energy and luxury vehicles, will be responsible for Ford's NEV project. Currently, Ford has conducted vehicle-road collaborative application tests based on cellular car networking technology in Changsha and Wuxi. Ford will also start mass production of its first model with Vehicle-Road Synergy in 2021.
