The 'Plan' makes four requirements in terms of technology development and innovation, infrastructure construction, and the use of new energy vehicles in the public service sector. 1. Increase research on critical technologies and encourage the development and innovation of vehicle operating systems and power batteries. Support the in-depth integration of new energy vehicles with energy, transportation, information and communication. 2. Strengthen infrastructure construction such as charging and battery swap stations and accelerate the construction of fast charging piles on expressways. Provide financial support for the construction of charging piles as public facilities and encourage battery swap technology usage. 3. Encourage and strengthen international cooperation in the field of new energy vehicles. 4. Increase policy support for the use of new energy vehicles in the public service sector. From 2021, the national ecological civilization pilot zone and the critical areas for air pollution prevention and control will add or update public transportation, rental, logistics and distribution vehicles, with an 80% proportion of new energy vehicles.
