On November 10, 2020, China Southern Airlines announced that the plan of issuing CNY 10 billion short-term corporate bonds was approved by China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). The bonds are planned to issue in stages and is required to finish registration within 12 months from the date of registration. In Q3 2020, China Southern Airlines became the only one among the big three airline companies (Air China, China Southern Airlines, and China Eastern Airlines) that return to profitability and gained CNY 711 million net profit attributable to shareholders.
