On November 17, MediaTek announced that it would acquire assets related to Intel's inspirion power management chip product line through its subsidiary Liyi, with an estimated total transaction amount of about 85 million US dollars. The completion date of the transaction is tentatively set for the fourth quarter, and the actual date will be closed after the completion of relevant legal procedures. MediaTek said that after the acquisition, it will expand the company's product line and provide integrated high-frequency and high-efficiency power solutions for FPGA, SOC, CPU and ASIC, aiming at enterprise level system applications.
