According to the latest report released by IC insights, a well-known research institution, TSMC's demand for advanced manufacturing processes of 5 nm and 7 nm has grown substantially. Last year, the average price of each wafer rose to US $1634, a record high, with an annual increase of more than 6%. IC insights pointed out that only when the advanced process leads the mass production can it have obvious advantages in the industry. In 2020, TSMC will be the only pure wafer foundry that can produce 7Nm and 5nm processes at the same time.
