Ma Tao, vice president of North Asia region of IATA and chief representative in China, said that the air transport industry is expected to start to recover in the second half of 2021, and the annual global operating revenue is expected to reach US $458 billion. Among them, passenger transport will be higher than that in 2020 but still far lower than that in 2019, and freight revenue is expected to reach US $152 billion, a record high. As for China, Ma Tao pointed out that Chinese airlines rely more on the domestic market than international routes, so they are able to resist external crises.
