The National Health Commission and other 15 departments recently jointly issued the action plan for breast feeding promotion (2021-2025). The plan proposes that by 2025, the awareness rate of core knowledge of breastfeeding in mother and child families will reach more than 70%, and the allocation rate of mother and child facilities in public places will reach more than 80%. In order to promote the wide coverage of maternal and infant facilities, the plan is clear. Independent maternal and infant rooms with appropriate service functions shall be established in public places such as transportation hubs, business centers, medical institutions, scenic spots, sightseeing and entertainment, where mothers and infants often stay and the construction area exceeds 10000 square meters or the daily passenger flow exceeds 10000 people.
