Completed in 2023, Volkswagen Anhui new R & D test site officially started construction

Yiou automobile on March 9, the R & D test site of Volkswagen Anhui comprehensive experimental center started construction in Hefei today. The R & D test site is located in the park of Volkswagen Anhui R & D center, covering vehicle driving and component testing, virtual reality and engineering, software and application development and other test functions. The R & D test site covers an area of nearly 200000 square meters and the total length of the test road is 10 kilometers. It is composed of internal test road and external high-speed ring road. It is mainly used for the performance test and function verification of vehicle hardware and the development of software application in the R & D stage of new energy vehicles. The internal test road will be completed in September 2022, including the dynamic square for ADAS test and a number of roads and facilities for testing noise, vibration and vehicle acoustics. The acoustics, comfort, battery system safety and vehicle durability of the developed vehicle can be tested in the field. At the same time, 5g will be deployed in the R & D test site to test the functions of parking assistance, predictive adaptive cruise control system, whole journey driving assistance system, lane keeping, sign and obstacle recognition. In addition, a 120 meter long channel will be built in the field for the research and development of intelligent driving lamp technology. The length of the external high-speed loop is about 1.6km and is in an arc with an angle of 40 °, so that the test vehicle can realize the adaptive cruise speed of 120km / h and the maximum speed of 180km / h, which is used for product verification in high-speed driving and high wind noise scenes. The R & D test site will start testing and verification in the third quarter of 2022, and the overall project will be completed in mid-2023.
