Southeast Asian payment platform "xendit" recently completed round D financing of US $300 million. At present, its total financing amount is close to US $600 million. The leading investors in this round of financing are the U.S. hedge fund coatue and insight partners, a global private equity and venture capital company. Other investors include accel, tiger global, Kleiner Perkins, ev growth, Amasia, intudo and goal capital of Justin Kan. Previous investors of xendit include y combinator, a famous American incubator, tiger Global Fund, zero one venture capital, etc. In the round C financing last September, xendit raised $150 million at a valuation of $1 billion to become a unicorn. Xendit said some of the money would be used to expand new markets, such as Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. In addition, xendit also plans to add value-added services beyond payment, such as working capital loans. Xendit now has more than 3000 customers, including Samsung Indonesia, grabpay, ninja van Philipines, qoala, UNICEF Indonesia, cashalo and shopback.
