The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China measured that during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday in 2022, 73.409 million domestic tourism trips were made nationwide, down 16.7% year-on-year, recovering to 72.6% of the same period in 2019 on a comparable basis. Domestic tourism revenue reached CNY 28.68 billion, down 22.8% year-on-year, recovering to 60.6% of the same period in 2019. Culture and tourism systems across China played to their strengths to enrich market supply and meet consumers' diverse consumption needs.
