Ali Cloud Changes Its Artificial Person from HU Xiaoming to REN Geng

on Mar 11, 2019, the artificial person of Beijing Alibaba Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd, was changed from HU Xiaoming (胡晓明) to REN Geng (任庚).

According to Tianyancha (天眼查) and Qixinbao (启信宝), on Mar 11, 2019, the legal representative of Beijing Alibaba Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd, was changed from HU Xiaoming (胡晓明) to REN Geng (任庚).

HU Xiaoming is not only one of the Alibaba Group’s partners but also globally introduced the computing system, “Feitian (飞天).”. HU Xiaoming was the president of Ali Cloud, while REN Geng was the vice president.

The Beijing Alibaba Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd was founded in Dec 28th, 2006 with a registered capital of USD 350 thousand. Alibaba Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd includes researching and developing cloud computing technology, computer software, and the processing, storing, and the transmission of data. The company also offers technology consulting services and sells self-developed productions.

On Jan 30th, 2019, Alibaba published its financial report of 2018 Q3. During 2018, the Ali Cloud’s revenue scale reached CNY 21.6 billion and increased 20 times within 4 years. Currently, Ali Cloud is the largest cloud service company in Asia. In 2017, the revenue of Ali Cloud was CNY 11.2 billion.

According to Gartner, the public cloud’s global market increased 21.4% in 2018. In addition, the “3A” team which includes AWS of Amazon, Microsoft’s Azure, and Ali Cloud, occupies more than 70% of the market. The IDC, a market research institution, announced that Ali Cloud’s market share in the Chinese market equals the total amount from the second player to the ninth player. In the global market, Ali Cloud has exceeded the Google and IBM’s cloud business

Out of 40% of China’s top 500 enterprises, nearly half of the listed Chinese companies and 80% Chinese technology companies are using Ali Cloud.

Cloud computing has always been Alibaba’s long-term strategy. During the past 10 years, Alibaba invested over CNY 43 billion into Ali Cloud. The president of Ali Cloud Intelligence, ZHANG Jianfeng (张建锋) says that “we are confident in the Cloud strategy, and we’ve prepared for the next decade.”
