Huawei has prepared massive layoffs in its US reasearch arm Futurewei, multiple media outlets reported.

More than 600 employees are to be laid off or relocated to other departments, according to the company officials. This move is directly related to the fact that the U.S. governmnet hasn't removed the firm and its 68 subsidiaries from the Entity list, said the Chinese telecom behemoth. As recent trade conflicts between the two countries remain unresolved, the company has to constantly adjust its market strategy.

Previously, Huawei indicated willingness to adapt to the challenging juncture it has been facing since the recent US-China trade conflict started.

For one, the firm positions itself as a "master architect" of the upcoming 5G revolution. Product mix has also been diversified lately: the tech giant reportedly entered household appliances market by developing of a new product line - Honor smart displays.
