Alipay's Self-Developed Database Breaks Records: 707 Million Orders Can be Created Per Minute
According to the latest results released on the official website of the TPC-C in the evening of May 20, Alipay self-developed distributed relational database OceanBase's performance score exceeded the 100 million mark for the first time, reaching 707 million tpmC, meaning 707 million new orders are created per minute, which is a nearly 11-fold increase from the 60.88 million tpmC in October last year. 1) Alipay said that its self-developed distributed database OceanBase has once again set a world record, only 7 months since OceanBase last broke the world record which took 9 years. 2) The traditional database can only improve the overall performance by improving the performance of the single machine, and it is difficult to meet the data processing requirements of the continuous expansion of the market. OceanBase's breakthrough is that it uses a new generation of distributed design technology, subverting the traditional database centralized processing technology. 3) At present, the number of OceanBase cluster nodes has exceeded 1500 and has been launched in many commercial banks and insurance institutions such as China Construction Bank, Nanjing Bank, and Xi'an Bank.
