Sequoia-Led Group Invests over USD 100 Mn in Chinese AI Startup SmartMore

Zhiqiang He, a senior vice president at Lenovo, believes that SmartMore has made a significant leap in technology and business performance within just one year.

The fast-growing artificial intelligence company, SmartMore, finished Series A funding of over USD 100 million from Green Pine Capital Partners, Sequoia Capital, Co-Stone Venture Capital and other investors.

The proceeds will be used on R&D on smart manufacturing and ultra-high video, talent recruitment and global expansion.

The company has finished three rounds of finance since its inception in December 2019. It was injected around hundreds of millions of dollars in June from Lenovo, IDG Capital, ZhenFund and other institutions.

SMore ViMo and SMore Media are two primary solutions from SmartMore. Over 100 clients have adopted them, such as Chinese top smartphone makers and world-famous car components manufacturers. They helped these clients improve video image quality and quality control processes.
