On December 9-11, 2020, EqualOcean will host this year's World Innovators Meet (WIM2020). Amel is co-founder of BetaCube, a tech startup acceleration company that invests, builds and grows B2B-based startups in fintech and other cutting edge areas by bringing together the systematic and investor side of a venture builder and the knowledge-based and content-oriented side of an incubator.
She is president of Tunisian Startups, the association giving a voice to Tunisian startups. It is the first association founded by entrepreneurs in Tunisia with the intent of bringing together startups and ecosystem stakeholders, connecting them with the world.
She also acts as a management consultant specializing in business strategy & digital transformation. Prior to that she acted in different sales and client relationship management roles. Working in Tunisia for some of the largest multinationals (Microsoft, Siemens, Nokia Siemens), Amel has an exhaustive knowledge of the Tunisian market and sales and marketing management practices. Amel is an engineer in electrical engineering, qualified from the University of Hanover, Germany; she also holds a Master's in Business in Digital economy from the University of Maryland.
A renowned entrepreneur in the field of new technologies in Tunisia, Saidane is also a member of the board of the Digital ID committee at UN Economic Commission for Africa, a steering committee member of the committee of Digital Arabia Network (DAN).
An innovative activist and an ecosystem-builder, Saidane launched several initiatives in the ecosystem of Tunisian startups, not least the World Summit Awards in Tunisia. The World Summit Awards are a unique awards system, selecting and promoting local digital innovation with high impact on improving society.
