Gome Holdings Group (Chinese:国美集团), China's premier home appliance retailer, and Tencent signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing on May 5, to work together on advertising and marketing, big data, cloud services, smart stores and other areas.

Qiu Yuepeng, president of Tencent Cloud, said Tencent can provide digital technology services for the retail industry in the areas of network, supply chain, services and operations, thereby improving Gome Group's customer acquisition efficiency, marketing effectiveness and service quality.

In addition, Gome will provide more potential value and possibilities for Tencent  in the field of "Internet plus retail,”said Du Juan, CEO of Gome Group.

In 2021, Gome built its retail ecosystem sharing platform comprising six aspects including“online, offline, supply chain, logistics, big data and cloud computing.”The tie-up between Gome and Tencent is intended to foster the construction and operation of this platform, Du added.

According to Gome, it will cooperate more with Tencent in areas such as life services, entertainment and social networking in the future.
