On Mar 15, 2019, Huawei Mate X received the world’s first CE certification of 5G phone by Rhine TUV of Germany. CE is a necessary quality requirement for the European Union to import and sell productions, and a mandatory certification to enter the European market. CE is regarded as “the pass to open the European Market”. A production with the CE logo means that it meets a lot of requirements of the European Union which include wireless, safety, cleaness, environmental, consumer protection, etc.
Germany Rhine TUV is the world-famous testing and authentication third-party, and it conducts the authentication of Huawei 5G phone. Mate X, Huawei’s first foldable phone, passed the CE test. Rhine TUV announced that the RF, EMC, Safety & SAR of Mate X all meet the requirement of CE certification.
LI Xiaolong (李小龙), the vice president of Huawei’s production line, and Stefan Kischka, the president of Rhine TUV’s global wireless and IoT production line, attended to the awarding ceremony. According to LI, 5G technology and production are more complicated when compared with the last generation. The 5G’s certification test standard and the related equipment are being perfected, and the testing, evaluation of 5G phone is an unprecedented challenge. In the future, Huawei would cooperate with Rhine to promote the massive commercialization of 5G terminal.
Stefan Kischka said that he’s glad to witness the Huawei’s advanced 5G technology. The Rhine TUV has been focusing on the telecom field for several years and will cooperate with Huawei to explore, promote, and witness the 5G’s new time.
On Feb 24, 2019, Huawei published its Huawei Mate X, the first Huawei’s 5G phone. With a foldable design and the 5G chip, Balong 5000, the Mate X has an 8-inch large screen and a download speed with 4.6G bps.
Huawei won the first CE certification of 5G phone has laid a solid foundation for the massive commercialization of the following 5G phones. We believe that Huawei would keep leading the 5G industry and provide better service. The future has come, and we need to prepare to give it a hug.
