With the construction of the Model Y construction line section of Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory, the company has now opened positions in various departments.

The latest aerial footage shows that the construction of the Model Y production line in the Shanghai factory has come to an end. The construction of the Model Y production line inside the Shanghai factory appears to be basically completed, with low levels of construction activity during the past few months.
At the same time, the Tesla Shanghai plant plans to recruit nearly 1,000 employees to prepare for Model Y production.
Last Thursday, August 27, the company posted job openings on WeChat. Recruitment information shows that these positions are distributed across 9 departments, including the casting workshop, stamping workshop, automobile workshop, final assembly workshop, logistics department and supercharging station. In addition, there are 11 departments that will recruit managers and technicians.
Among these departments, there are 180 vacancies in the automobile workshop, 370 vacancies in the assembly workshop, 140 vacancies in the body workshop, and 200 vacancies in the logistics department, for a total of nearly 1,000 vacancies. Among them, the automobile workshop, the assembly workshop and the body workshop are looking for production operators, while the logistics department plans to recruit forklift workers.
According to Tesla’s official website, the Chinese-made Model Y is expected to be put into production in early 2021 at the earliest. It has already begun to accept reservations with Tesla, expecting it to become the company's most popular model. However, judging from the current high price of the domestically produced Model Y, this prospect seems rather difficult.
