Chinese privately held multinational automotive company Geely saw its September sales increase by 11% year-on-year.

On the evening of October 8, Geely published the sales data for September 2020. According to this, Geely's total sales volume was 126,300 vehicles, an increase of approximately 11% month-on-month, and about 11% year-on-year.
From January to September this year, Geely's total sales volume was 875,400 vehicles, which means the firm has completed 66% of its annual sales target of 1.32 million vehicles. The China Passenger Car Association predicts that the market will continue to pick up this year. Retail sales of passenger vehicles are expected to be about 1.915 million, a year-on-year increase of about 8%.
Geely's total sales of new energy and related products reached 6,092 units in September. In terms of overseas exports, Geely exported 8068 units, which is an increase of approximately 28% from the previous month.
Meanwhile, Geely launched its EV-focused platform in September. Geely's Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) will support small and large vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, vans and pickup trucks, Geely's president An Conghui said at an event in Beijing. Simultaneously, Lynk&Co's ZERO, the first pure electric luxury coupe concept car based on SEA, made its public debut for the first time and will be mass-produced and launched in 2021.
