With 3,147 key patents in the 5G network field and a low-cost pricing scale, Huawei has become a leader among the current 5G network suppliers globally.
Huawei 5G
Recently, at the 2020 World 5G Convention, Huawei published China's achievements during the first year of commercialization of the 5G network. According to the data, more than 700,000 5G base stations have been built, and the number of 5G connections has reached 160 million, ranking first in the world. Nowadays, China builds over 10,000 5G base stations per week and has achieved full 5G coverage at prefecture-level.
Notably, China has deployed 5G base stations in the Mount Qomolangma camp at 6,500 meters above sea level, covering the summit of Mount Qomolangma (8844.43 meters above sea level) – the stations help the climbing teams to finish summit surveying and mapping tasks. Moreover, China has developed several 5G + Intelligent coal industry applications and built 5G 'smart mines,' forming a network that achieves network coverage from 534 meters to 800 meters underground. China is also leading in the 5G smart ports area. For example, Huawei's 5G solution brought the working model tremendous changes in Ningbo's smart port.
Since starting commercialization in October 2019, Huawei has become a leader among the current 5G network suppliers. As of June 2020, Huawei had 3,147 key patents in the 5G network field ranking first place – and, meanwhile, the price of Huawei 5G equipment provided is 30% to 40% lower than that of other companies in the world.
