Industrial software company Kyber Technology bagged close to CNY 100 million from its Series A financing round, led by Haitong Capital. The company has more than 40 independent intellectual property rights and patented technologies.
Shanghai Kaibaiyun Information Technology (Kyber Technology, Chinese: 铠铂科技), an industrial software company in the field of semiconductor manufacturing, announced recently a Series A round of financing worth almost CNY 100 million (USD 15 million), led by National Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Fund (Hefei) Fund of Haitong Capital, with participation by Yiling Capital and WEquick Capital.
Zhang Xiangyang, Chairman of Haitong Capital, said that Haitong chose to expand its scope of investment from chip and electronics industries to software in the semiconductor industry, due to the monopoly of foreign brands in industrial software for semiconductors.
Kyber Technology’s R&D and implementation teams have a good understanding of semiconductor, printed circuit board (PCB), and other process technologies in the manufacturing execution system (MES) of this sub-industry, and can convert the process characteristics into digital codes, Zhang added.
Wang Shanqian, founder and chairman of Kyber Technology, claimed that this round of financing will be mainly used to increase investment in product R&D and construct product marketing channels.
The company is planning to start the construction of product and technology ecosystems. By developing a third-party software agent model, the industry coverage of the company's products and its product versatility will be enhanced, Wang added.
Kyber Technology, formerly known as Jieda Technology, has more than ten years of experience in informatization implementation for large and medium-sized enterprises. It has more than 40 independent intellectual property rights and patented technologies.
Kyber is a “gold partner” of SAP, Siemens, Infor, and other large international management software companies. It has provided services to companies including Avary Holding, the No.1 PCB company in the world, BOE, Foxconn, and other top companies.
