The Chinese smart solid-state LiDAR producer has built a strategic partnership with WeRide to promote the commercial application of advanced driving assistance system.
Robosense
RoboSense (Chinese: 速腾聚创),a provider of smart LiDAR sensor systems, announced a strategic partnership with WeRide, a Level 4 autonomous driving technology company on June 10 in southern China’s Shenzhen
Under this partnership, RoboSense will assist WeRide in accelerating its on-board application of automotive-grade smart solid-state LiDAR and speed up the large-scale series production and commercial application of autonomous driving technologies.
RoboSence has completed the deployment of smart production lines in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities, with an expected annual production capacity of 1 million units. This guarantees a continuous and stable supply of advanced and reliable products for WeRide and other partners.
WeRide has accomplished the research and development, testing and operation in more than 23 cities around the world, with mileage of more than 11 million kilometers. It provides SAE L2-L4 ADAS products to the market, covering commercial application scenarios such as smart travel, smart freight and smart sanitation.
“RoboSense has reached a deep strategic partnership with WeRide whereby RoboSense will leverage its cutting-edge smart solid-state LiDAR products and its mass production and delivery capacity, to enable WeRide to pre-install and apply its self-driving technologies on autonomous vehicles in a faster, more efficient manner and on a larger scale,” said Qiu Chunchao, co-founder and executive president of RoboSense
“With the support from RoboSense, WeRide will further enrich its experience in the onboard applications of solid-state LiDAR and contribute to the continuous optimization of the next-generation ADAS,” said Han Xu, founder and CEO of WeRide.
