Syrius Robotics Co., Ltd.(Chinese:Syrius 炬星), a logistics AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) leading company, completed tens of millions of CNY in Series B+ financing, exclusively invested by Harvest Capital. The financing of this round will be mainly used for building a AMR full-stack technology system based on hardware and software and cloud services as the core for the company, news portal 36kr.com reported.
Syrius Robotics, founded in 2018, has focused on building a full-stack AMR technology system. Its AMR logistics solutions have provided attractive alternatives in e-commerce warehouse automation. It announced that it will promote the construction and empowerment of its global commercial network, spreading its products and service network in China, ASEAN, North America and Europe.
The global macroeconomic cycle changes and labor shortage problems have made every company involved in the logistics industry try its best to reduce cost and improve efficiency. In China, the proportion of logistics cost to GDP is nearly 15%, much higher than that of the United States and Europe. Therefore, for the industrial logistics, which accounts for a lion’s share of the total social logistics, it is urgent to change the operation mode from the bottom through new technologies.
Interact Analysis, an authoritative research firm, predicts that global AMR sales will officially overtake AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle) from 2022 onwards and reach more than double the latter by 2025. Compared to AGV solutions, AMR solutions offer a lower barrier to entry, lower cost risk but higher returns, thus gaining the attention of industrial players.
Syrius Robotics has focused on both domestic market and Asia-Pacific market since its establishment, and has already ventured into Japan, Korea and Singapore. Syrius Robotics’ international competitors include MiR and Locus Robotics and domestic ones include Quicktron(Chinese:快仓智能), YOUIBOT(Chinese:优艾智合) and ForwardX Robotics(Chinese:灵动科技).
