Kolo Imaging will continue to accelerate the commercialization of its ultrasound products with the fresh proceeds.
This round was led by Qianrong Investment (Chinese: 乾融资本). The existing investor Walden International (Chinese: 华登国际) also participated in this deal.
The funding will be used to accelerate the launch of self-developed high-frequency ultrasound imaging system to the global market and the development of next-generation CMUT chip and innovation ultrasound imaging products.
Founded in 2013, Kolo Imaging is dedicated to improving ultrasound image quality and image clarity and resolution with the semiconductor CMUT technology. It is the only company in the global industry that does not require third-party IP authorization.
Dr. Huang Yongli, the founder of Kolo Imaging, graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Stanford University, and is one of the main inventors of the original CMUT technology of Stanford University. Mr. Zhao Weidong, CEO of Kolo Imaging previously held a numebr of executive positions. He previously served as general manager of Ultrasound Division and chairman of GE Medical.
