Chery and iFlytek signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation framework agreement on August 5.
Chery Automobile Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Chery") (Chinese: 奇瑞汽车) and iFlytek CO., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "iFlytek") (Chinese: 科大讯飞) has deepened their strategic cooperation, intending to jointly develop intelligence products and promote enterprise digital transformation.
In adherence to technological innovation, Chery Automobile formed a well-established technology and product Research and Development (R&D) system in terms of conventional vehicles, New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), Intelligent Connected Vehicles (ICVs), and autonomous vehicles.
iFlytek is a publicly listed enterprise of intelligent voice and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has been engaging in the fields of core AI technologies, including speech and language, natural language understanding, image recognition and video analysis, machine learning and reasoning, and autonomous learning.
The cooperation between Chery and iFlytek can date back to 2003, following a formal establishment of the strategic partnership in 2017. In May 2021, the two sides signed a comprehensive and deep strategic cooperation.
Per the newly-signed framework agreement, both parties will continue to deepen their cooperation on smart cockpit and Internet of Vehicles (IoV) solutions, jointly launching intelligent vehicle audio systems and solutions for Chery brand, Arrizo 8.
Chery Arrizo 8, the new product of the Arrizo line, is the first flagship sedan of the Chery Automobile 4.0 technology platform. The Arrizo 8 will be equipped with the new generation of LION5.0 (Chinese: 雄狮智云), with better voice capability, part-time wake-up-free and multi-wheel interaction technologies, and voice reproduction functions.
