Hesai Technology, China’s leading LiDAR manufacturer, recently announced that it hit a major milestone of completing a cumulative delivery of 100,000 LiDAR products, making it the world's No.1 company in annual LiDAR mass production volume.
On December 27, Hesai Technology (Chinese: 禾赛科技) made an announcement via its official WeChat account that the company has completed a cumulative delivery of 100,000 LiDAR products, with approximately 80,000 units delivered in 2022. This achievement marked the company's No.1 position in annual global LiDAR mass production volume.
Founded in 2014, Hesai Technology is a global leader in LiDAR technology for autonomous driving and ADAS. Its vision is to empower robotics and elevate lives through high-performance, reliable, and low-cost 3D sensors. Ever since 2017, Hesai Technology has been setting foot in the autonomous driving industry, providing its very first product Pandar40 for Baidu (Chinese: 百度).
The company has insisted on self-developing chips. The mid-range LiDAR XT32 with Hesai's very first generation of chips was launched in 2020 and has reached 10,000 units in cumulative deliveries. Entering the second half of 2022, Hesai Technology's hybrid solid-state LiDAR AT128 and fully solid-state LiDAR FT120 were consecutively launched. AT128 has won 10 major OEMs' supply agreements for mass production with expected cumulative deliveries of several million units, and FT120 products are expected to be delivered starting from the second half of 2023.
Numerous clients have expressed their regards upon Hesai Technology's achievements. "Hesai Technology's product performance, post-purchase service, safety, device maintenance have guaranteed Baidu Apollo's successful realization of technology and mass production." Wang Yunpeng, vice president of Baidu, commented.
