On the one hand, HydroT(Chinese: 氢途科技) is developing high-power fuel cell systems to deepen the commercial vehicle scenario. On the other hand, the company develops stationary power generation system by using fuel cell as a power generation product to generate electricity in the vicinity of hydrogen-rich areas.
HydroT, a hydrogen fuel cell system company, has received an investment of RMB80 million from CICC, which will be used for the company's core technology iteration, production line expansion and marketing.
Founded in 2016, HydroT focuses on the research, development and industrialization application of fuel cell systems. The company's main business includes hydrogen fuel cell systems and core component products, as well as the provision of hydrogen fuel cell-related engineering services. Previously, the company has received RMB124 million Series B financing completed by CGI and Taiheng Investment and other institutions.
Hydrogen energy has the characteristics of clean, low-carbon and storable, and has great potential in application scenarios such as renewable energy consumption and grid peaking. According to the International Hydrogen Energy Commission, hydrogen energy will account for 18% of global energy demand by 2050. Based on the "double carbon" target, the application of hydrogen fuel cell technology has increased significantly under the background of accelerated total electrification.
Hydrogen energy mainly involves the energy industry chain of production, storage, transportation and processing, and the energy industry chain of materials to fuel cell systems.
HydroT's market strategy is to focus on both the automotive scenario and the stationary power generation scenario. On the one hand, HydroT has developed a high power fuel cell system, deeply cultivated the commercial vehicle scenario of fuel cell, and completed hundreds of product deliveries. The system power has reached 240kW, and the high power reactor has been independently developed.
On the other hand, HydroT has developed stationary power generation system by using fuel cell as power generation product to generate electricity in the vicinity of hydrogen-rich areas.
For high-power fuel cell system products, HydroT's current fourth-generation battery system products have achieved more than 99% hydrogen utilization rate and the highest power generation efficiency of more than 60%, and the system mass power density has been increased to 850W/kg through the integrated design of the system and the power stack.
HydroT Chairman Zhou Hongbo said that cost is still a major bottleneck in the hydrogen energy industry, and the competitiveness of hydrogen fuel cell is reflected in its total life cycle cost. The competitiveness of hydrogen fuel cell is reflected in its whole life cycle cost. Specifically, one is the acquisition cost of the equipment, the second is the cost of use, and the third is the reliability of the product during use, that is, the attendance efficiency.
To this end, HydroT has independently developed the core components of hydrogen fuel cells, the most representative of which is the hydrogen priming and injection system. This system is capable of achieving full power (5%-100%) coverage of the priming return, and its system nozzle efficiency reaches more than 500 million times. This pilot nozzle system has no parasitic power consumption and can reduce the cost of the anode subsystem by 60%.
In terms of application scenarios of fuel cell system, HydroT has cooperated to develop more than thirty models, and has realized the batch support of fuel cell products in bus, logistics vehicle, refrigerated vehicle, heavy truck and forklift, and realized batch commercial operation in many provinces and cities, and the longest single vehicle driving time of supporting vehicles is more than 9,000 hours, and the single vehicle driving mileage is more than 260,000 km.
