EqualOcean has learned that mobile life appliance brand BASA (Chinese: 深圳零物科技) has received RMB 5 million in angel round financing.

BASA is based in Shenzhen, and its products are mainly high-end pocket vacuum cleaners and wireless dust mite removers. In less than a year, BASA's revenue has exceeded 20 million, and it is expected to double its revenue this year and reach more than 100 million revenue in 2024.

BASA is the second venture of founder Chen Fengming, before that, Chen Fengming founded the creative company inDare Design in 2015 to provide product positioning and product innovation solutions for national head brands in oral care, such as USMLIE.

In the cleaning track, BASA did not enter the more expensive and competitive sweeping robot but chose more segmented cleaning scenarios, such as car cleaning and bedding cleaning.

BASA has successively launched a series of products to meet the market demand of mobile life scenarios: handheld vacuum cleaner products that are smaller than the market products, with more suction power and longer endurance, as well as the first wireless mite remover. At the same time, BASA is also adding pet hair cleaning accessories, inflatable outdoor accessories and other peripheral products; BASA will also introduce more differentiated small appliances to meet the needs of segments in the future.

BASA is characterized by changing the details of the experience of traditional products according to different usage scenarios. Its handheld vacuum cleaner product is only the size of a thermos cup, BASA users will not take a long time to vacuum, the demand occurs only in the car scene within 30 minutes or even a few minutes. Therefore, when designing the product, BASA takes into account the actual usage scenarios of users and makes the product even smaller.

This also means a change in thinking in the supply chain. Vacuum cleaner suppliers in the market can only make standard models, and there is a lack of suppliers of smaller and more powerful components and accessories in the electronic appliance industry that meet BASA's requirements. Therefore, BASA selected suppliers in the 3C accessories category to realize the product. Through long-term communication, BASA guided the suppliers to develop production standards that meet the needs of products related to small vacuum cleaners.

Since 2021, BASA has been focusing on the in-vehicle market, and its products have cooperated with more than 10 car brands, and have been recognized by several leading car brands, such as Volkswagen, Li, Xpeng, AITO, etc. In the future, BASA will also strengthen the operation of the online channel and deepen the cultivation of the mobile life scene.

BASA's investors in this round of financing are industrial investors, and the funds will be used for research and development and production of a series of mobile life home appliances.
