Silencio Network raises $1 million in Pre-Seed round

Silencio Network is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) focused on combating noise pollution and leveraging blockchain technology to create large-scale noise-level databases to enable innovative data solutions. Their product, Silencio, is a free app that aims to be the world's largest citizen science project to combat noise pollution. The app allows users to share their surrounding sound levels (dBA) and earn rewards for doing so, and users can also monetize their data. By using Silencio, users have the opportunity to generate passive income while improving the quality of life for themselves and others.

Since its launch, Silencio Network has doubled its user base within a month and now has more than 92,000 users from 175 countries, with 12,000 new users added every week. The data collected by users is used to create comprehensive noise pollution maps, providing researchers, policymakers, urban planners, real estate companies, etc. with important analytical data to help effectively solve noise pollution problems.

Currently, there are more and more projects on the DePIN track. In 2023, many decentralized AI-related projects have received large amounts of financing, and the market's recognition of the DePIN track is also increasing. Projects similar to Silencio in building environmental networks include WeatherXM, PlanetWatch, etc.

Silencio has raised $750,000 in pre-seed funding in Q4 2023. This round of financing was led by Borderless Capital, with participation from Moonrock Capital, Master Ventures and Cogitent Ventures.
