TRUNK accelerates the construction of a full-scenario autonomous freight network.
Trunk Logistics
TRUNK Technology recently secured a multi-billion RMB investment from the Civil Aviation Investment Fund, as well as joint investments from Shun- Innovation Industry Capital and Changzhou Bell Tower Financial Holding.
The funds raised in this round will drive TRUNK Technology's research and mass production processes in the core technology and forward-looking product areas of autonomous driving, helping to create a comprehensive intelligent transportation solution. This will provide strong support for the active expansion of domestic and international markets, thereby achieving the strategic goal of building an autonomous freight network.
Prior to this financing round, TRUNK Technology had received investments from several institutions including iFLYTEK Venture, Hidden Hill Capital and NIO Capital.
Established in 2017, TRUNK Technology is dedicated to the in-depth development of L4-level autonomous driving technology, focusing on providing customers with intelligent transportation solutions and services across all scenarios. This aims to help customers achieve the digital transformation of their transportation operations, reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and promote low-carbon sustainable development.
Currently, TRUNK Technology has collaborated with mainstream commercial vehicle manufacturers such as FAW, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, XCMG and Foton Motor to introduce over ten intelligent trucks. In low-speed enclosed port hub scenarios, TRUNK Technology has delivered more than 300 intelligent trucks. The Trunk Port smart port unmanned driving solution has been successfully commercialized and replicated at important projects such as Tianjin Port, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, Yantai Port, Hefei Port, and the CNOOC Huizhou Logistics Base. In high-speed trunk logistics scenarios, Mainline Technology has obtained commercial operation permits for autonomous trucks in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Shandong, the Yangtze River Delta, Inner Mongolia, and other areas. Based on the Trunk Freight solution, it provides intelligent transportation services to leading logistics customers such as CMST Intelligent Transportation, Deppon, STO Express, SF Express, and JD Logistics, with a cumulative transport mileage exceeding 20 million kilometers.
Professor Zhang Tianlei, founder and CEO of TRUNK Technology, stated, "The successful conclusion of this financing round provides strong impetus for TRUNK Technology's research and commercialization of autonomous truck technology. Today, with the nation's high strategic emphasis on developing new quality production forces and actively promoting the cost reduction and efficiency enhancement of social logistics, TRUNK Technology will firmly seize development opportunities. With far-reaching goals and pragmatic steps, we aim to build a world-leading intelligent networked technology, contributing a more efficient, higher quality, and deeper modern transportation industry system to the industry's sustained development."
