Nissan and General Motors continue to dominate the Mexican market, holding the first and second positions respectively. It is worth noting that the Chinese automotive brand Great Wall achieved its first sales in Mexico, with 1,309 cars sold in May.

In the first five months of 2024, Mexico sold a total of 585,700 vehicles, a 12.7% increase compared to the same period last year. In the pickup truck segment, Nissan holds the absolute dominance, with the NP300 leading the sales charts. The top-selling model in May was the Nissan NP300, with 4,903 units sold, significantly ahead of the second-placed Toyota Hilux, which sold 1,952 units this month.

The Chinese brand JAC Frison Pickup sold 701 units in May, surpassing Toyota Tacoma and Ford Ranger. JAC has been making continuous efforts in various countries overseas in recent years, with increasingly positive results. Recently, the JAC Frison T9 (Hantu) was officially launched in Mexico and has been dubbed by local media as the "top pickup truck," also considered one of the most affordable pickup trucks in the Mexican market.

Equal Ocean observes that JAC's pickup truck models are mainly concentrated in South America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. In the South American market, especially in Brazil and Argentina, JAC pickups have performed well, with annual sales steadily increasing. In Africa, countries like Egypt and South Africa, their durability and cost-effectiveness have been favored by consumers, making them one of the main competitors in the local market. In Southeast Asia, countries like Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia have also shown good market shares, with multi-functional models tailored to local demand being highly popular. In the Middle East market, especially in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, JAC pickups have gained a certain market share due to their reliability and adaptability. Although specific sales data may vary by region, overall, JAC pickup sales in overseas markets show a steady growth trend.

In May 2024, JAC Pickup's global sales reached 5,562 units, a 23.8% year-on-year increase and a 24.5% increase month-on-month. Among them, domestic market pressure remained, while international market sales saw significant growth both year-on-year and month-on-month. In the first five months of this year, JAC Pickup's global cumulative sales reached 23,800
