igh-end pool robot brand Beatbot (星迈创新) has recently completed a new financing round of RMB 1 billion (USD 137 million), led solely by Long-Z Investment (美团龙珠). Existing investors GL Ventures (高瓴创投), Shunwei Capital (顺为资本), Cathay Capital (凯辉基金), Source Code Capital (源码资本), Anker Innovations (安克创新), Monolith Capital (砺思资本), and Yunmu Fund (云沐基金) also increased their stakes. Yunmu Capital (云沐资本) served as the exclusive long-term financial advisor.

According to the company, the funds will focus on R&D and product iteration, accelerating the expansion of global sales channels and brand influence, attracting top global talent, and exploring strategic layouts in new application scenarios.

Founded in July 2022, Beatbot is dedicated to providing intelligent, reliable, and practical pool robot products to global users. Leveraging self-developed technologies—including high-speed brushless pumps, AUV spatial motion control, and sonar-laser SLAM mapping and navigation algorithms—the company enhances the efficiency and experience of daily pool cleaning and maintenance. Founder and CEO Wang Shengle (王生乐), who previously worked at a leading domestic consumer robotics firm, spearheaded the development of robotic vacuum cleaners and window-cleaning robots from zero to mass production. He has more than a decade of R&D experience and sharp product insights.

Against the backdrop of rapid growth in the overseas “backyard economy,” swimming pools have become an important part of the garden ecosystem. According to Statista and other institutions, the global pool stock approaches 30 million, with 500,000–700,000 new pools added annually, maintaining a growth rate of 5–10% per year, with North America accounting for over 30%. As ownership increases, pool cleaning has become a high-frequency necessity, but traditional methods suffer from inefficiency, high costs, and poor user experience, relying on manual labor or limited semi-automatic devices. In contrast, smart pool robots are increasing market penetration at 25% annually, becoming essential tools for shifting users from “passive maintenance” to “proactive intelligent care.”

For years, the pool robot market has been dominated by a few international manufacturers, with limited innovation, homogeneous functions, and slow progress in intelligence, failing to meet demand for efficient cleaning. This market gap has provided Beatbot with an opportunity. As China’s first pool robot brand to surpass an average unit price of USD 2,000, Beatbot focuses on the premium user segment, advancing product upgrades across four dimensions: intelligence, mobility, cleaning capacity, and user experience.

In 2024, Beatbot launched the AquaSense Pro and AquaSense models, which achieved hundreds of millions of RMB in sales within six months. In its first year of commercialization, the company captured 85% of the online high-end segment (priced above USD 1,400). In January this year, it released the world’s first AI-powered five-in-one pool-cleaning robot, AquaSense 2 Ultra. This product integrates 27 high-precision sensors, including an AI camera, infrared, ultrasound, depth, and water temperature sensors, alongside a self-developed high-power-density brushless motor and buoyancy control system. It can climb pool walls, clean waterlines precisely, return to base autonomously, and dock on the water surface. On the software side, powered by a quad-core processor and AI vision-based mapping system, the AquaSense 2 Ultra performs map construction, obstacle recognition, and intelligent path planning, effectively covering complex structures and irregular areas to improve overall cleaning performance.

Beyond performance, Beatbot also optimized user experience through lightweight design, buoyancy control, one-click recall, and water-surface docking to ease transport and operation challenges. A dedicated app allows users to monitor cleaning progress in real time, enabling visualized management. Wang Shengle emphasized that the boundaries of hardware products depend on the depth of user insight and technological capability. Beatbot focuses on user experience, innovating based on real pain points to avoid low-level homogenized competition, thereby establishing long-term product leadership in the premium segment.

While consolidating its advantages in pool robots, Beatbot is extending its business into the lawn-mowing robot track. The company has already formed a professional team and plans to apply its accumulated expertise in intelligent mobility, environmental perception, and robotic algorithms to lawn management. Its first robotic lawn mower is currently under development. Industry observers believe that with the rapid growth of the “garden economy,” Beatbot—supported by fresh capital and category expansion—could establish a new smart-cleaning ecosystem across both pool and lawn scenarios, further strengthening its leadership in the global premium smart-home market.

Meanwhile, on September 19, 2025, Beatbot was selected for EqualOcean’s 2025 GoGlobal Globalization Emerging Brands Top 50 list. This recognition highlights the company’s rapid growth and globalization progress, earning dual validation from capital markets and the industry. It underscores Beatbot’s innovation and competitiveness in overseas markets and marks its rise as a representative Chinese smart-hardware brand in the wave of global expansion.
