On December 28, China Media Group (中央广播电视总台) held an event in Beijing to announce the sub-venues of the 2026 Spring Festival Gala, during which it was revealed that Volcano Engine (火山引擎) has officially become the gala’s exclusive AI cloud partner.
Leveraging industry-leading multimodal large language models and cloud computing technologies, Volcano Engine will be deeply involved in the Spring Festival Gala’s programming, online interactions and live video streaming, applying advanced technology to support the annual reunion event watched by Chinese audiences worldwide.
As ByteDance's (字节跳动) cloud and AI services platform, Volcano Engine has provided technical support for Douyin’s Spring Festival Gala livestreams over the past five years, and successfully supported 70.3 billion red packet interactions on Douyin during the 2021 Spring Festival Gala, demonstrating its ability to handle ultra-high concurrency with strong elasticity and stability.
With the arrival of the AI era, Volcano Engine has built an AI cloud-native architecture centred on large language models, rapidly growing into the AI cloud service provider with the largest market share in China’s public cloud large-model segment.
Recently, the Doubao large language model reached an average daily usage of 63 trillion tokens, serving more than one million enterprises and developers, with over 100 companies each recording cumulative usage exceeding one trillion tokens.
