On February 25, following the open-sourcing of Qwen3.5-397B-A17B on Lunar New Year’s Eve, Alibaba (阿里巴巴) continued to expand its Qwen 3.5 family by releasing three new mid-sized models: Qwen3.5-35B-A3B, Qwen3.5-122B-A10B, and Qwen3.5-27B.

According to the company, the three newly released Qwen3.5 models set new performance highs within the mid-size model category, outperforming larger previous-generation flagship models such as Qwen3-235B-A22B and Qwen3-VL. Across multiple benchmarks, their performance is reported to be significantly better than GPT-5 mini.

Meanwhile, the hosted model Qwen3.5-Flash, built on Qwen3.5-35B-A3B, has been launched on Alibaba Cloud’s Bailian platform, with input pricing as low as RMB 0.2 per million tokens.
