Held under the theme “AI for Next,” this year’s forum brought together global brands, service providers, investors, industry platforms, and international leaders to explore new trends, emerging opportunities, and evolving pathways for Chinese companies pursuing globalization in the AI era.

During the forum, EqualOcean unveiled the 2026 Chinese GoGlobal ESG Exemplary Enterprise Top20, recognizing Chinese consumer brands that have successfully expanded their overseas store networks, strengthened localized operations, and established growing influence in international markets.

The companies selected for this year’s ranking are: Segway-Ninebot, Midea, Ezviz, Lenovo, CHAGEE, Mengniu Dairy, Goldwind, POP MART, Geely Auto, SF Express, Haier Smart Home, Jinko Solar, WuXi AppTec, CATL, Anker Innovations, Roborock, Xiaomi, XPENG Motors, Goodbaby, and Neusoft.

As Chinese enterprises have deepened their global expansion, ESG has evolved from a "nice-to-have" into a core competitive capability in international markets. A growing number of overseas markets have incorporated carbon emissions, supply chain transparency, labor protections, data security, local community engagement, and corporate governance into their regulatory and market evaluation frameworks. For Chinese companies, ESG is no longer simply a compliance checkbox — it has become a critical foundation for brand trust, global partnerships, and long-term business sustainability.

The competitive landscape has shifted accordingly: China's outbound expansion has moved from a model driven by scale and volume to one driven by sustainable value. Leading globalizing enterprises are no longer focused solely on growing overseas revenue, expanding distribution channels, or scaling up capacity. Instead, they are investing in green production lines abroad, launching local community initiatives, diversifying workforce practices, and strengthening supply chain compliance. ESG has been elevated from a back-office CSR function to a core pillar of corporate global strategy.

Notably, digitalization and AI are reshaping how companies manage ESG worldwide. Powered by big data, intelligent algorithms, and AI-based monitoring tools, globalizing enterprises are now able to precisely track energy use at overseas facilities, optimize emissions reduction across cross-border supply chains, quantify carbon footprints at a global scale, and flag labor, compliance, and reputational risks in real time. ESG management is thus shifting from reactive, manual correction to proactive, AI-enabled governance — closing the loop between business operations and sustainability oversight.

The companies recognized on this list span smart manufacturing, new energy, consumer and cultural products, logistics, biopharmaceuticals, smart home technology, and internet services. Each has balanced overseas commercial growth with local value creation, drawing on green production, inclusive employment practices, community investment, compliance governance, and responsible supply chains to build sustainable business models suited to global markets.

The 2026 Chinese GoGlobal ESG Exemplary Enterprise Top20 was published to spotlight these benchmark practices and recognize long-term value creation, charting the progress of Chinese enterprises advancing responsibly on the global stage. Against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty and shifting global trade rules, ESG has emerged as a critical foundation for enterprises seeking resilience through economic cycles. The companies named to this year's list, backed by rigorous ESG frameworks, are establishing a new benchmark for cross-border trust — positioning themselves as representative brands of China's new generation of global expansion, and helping drive that expansion toward a higher-quality, more sustainable, and more resilient future.
