According to the announcement, Wang Jun, former president of Intelligent Automotive Solution Business Unit, was transferred to COO position and concurrently president of intelligent driving solutions product line.
Richard （Chengdong）Yu, CEO of the BU, remains in his position.
Ex-president of the BU, Wang Jun, took on the position as COO of the BU and president of Huawei’s intelligent driving solution’s production line.
Bian Honglin will serve as the CTO of the BU and the head of the BU’s research and development sector.
According to the document, Huawei will abolish the post of BU president due to management needs. In this regard, Huawei said that it has made new appointments to senior managers, but the core management team will not change.
Its also worth mentioning that in July, Su Jing, then-head of Huawei’s intelligent driving product department, was dismissed from his position due to his improper remarks about Tesla. The position has been temporarily taken on by Bian Honglin.
Huawei stepped into the automotive industry as early as 2013 with military vehicle networking. In 2019, the company established the intelligent vehicle solution BU and adjusted it from the ICT business management committee to the consumer business management committee in November 2020.
