GAC group (Chinese:广汽集团) and GAC Aion (Chinese:广汽埃安) co-invested in the new energy company, named GAC New Energy Technology Co., Ltd, is officially registered recently.
The company's main business will focus on the construction and operation of EV battery charging and swapping networks, technology research and development, battery operation and management, energy trading, solar power generation technology, energy storage technology, data processing and storage, and is expected to invest CNY 4.96 billion in the next few years.
As a leading brand in the pure EV market, GAC Group has natural advantages in developing clean energy power from generation and storage to building the energy Internet. To speed up its strategic planning in the clean energy industry sector, the GAC Group deliberated and agreed on the proposal to establish GAC Energy Ecological Technology Co., Ltd. on March 22 this year. After that, GAC Aion announced to make its home city of Guangzhou the first " city of super-charging " in the world, with plans to build 220 such stations this year and 1,000 by 2025.
In the future, GAC Energy Technology will go global and build an integrated energy supply and battery recycling ecosystem, promoting technology development and product application in clean energy sectors.
