On March 9, Lei Jun, a deputy to the Chinese National People's Congress and the founder of Xiaomi Group, said in an interview with CCTV that "currently, we are inspecting markets and policies around the world and making preparations to go overseas at an appropriate time. The primary focus is to solve the problem of domestic orders being queued for 6 - 7 months and how to expand production capacity."

Regarding the fact that 10,000 units of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra were sold in three days, Lei Jun said that this shows domestic brands are being increasingly accepted.

Previously, Lei Jun reported on the progress of Xiaomi's car manufacturing during the group discussion of the Beijing delegation. Xiaomi SU7 has sold more than 320,000 units in 11 months since its launch, with 180,000 units delivered and 140,000-150,000 units still on the waiting list. On March 2, the lock-in order volume of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra exceeded 10,000 units within two hours of the new launch, completing the annual task ahead of schedule.

Xiaomi experienced negative growth in both 2022 and 2023, but resumed high-speed growth in 2024, with a growth rate of over 30%. It is expected to maintain a growth rate of over 30% in 2025 as well.

In December 2024, one year after the official debut of Xiaomi cars, the annual delivery volume of SU7 had exceeded 130,000 units, having completed all the annual targets ahead of schedule.

As of February 2025, the delivery volume of Xiaomi SU7 exceeded 20,000 units. At present, the monthly delivery volume has exceeded 20,000 units for five consecutive months, with a cumulative delivery of more than 180,000 units.
