rednote officially enters cross-border e-commerce, further evolving its content ecosystem
On March 10, Chinese Internet platform rednote announced the "rednote E-commerce Overseas Expansion Pioneer Plan". This plan is an overseas expansion solution created by rednote for merchants. It integrates full-link services such as online transactions, export trade, cross-border payments, and localized operations, aiming to help merchants reach global users. After signing an agreement to become an overseas merchant, they can conduct diverse displays in scenarios such as notes, live broadcasts, and stores through rednote's content ecosystem.
Since this plan has just been disclosed, the shipping cost calculation rules and pricing mechanisms are not yet transparent. The vagueness of policy details, concerns about hidden costs, and restrictions on participating products are common issues that sellers are concerned about. According to seller feedback, there are no clear terms related to shipping costs and pricing in the agreement.
rednote reported that it will gradually expand the scope of openness according to the results of the internal test, but the specific full-scale opening time has not been determined yet and further official notice is still needed. At the same time, rednote also promised to continuously optimize and improve the relevant policies and rules of the overseas expansion plan to ensure that the rights and interests of sellers are fully protected.
Currently, the first phase of the plan has already covered the US, Hong Kong (China), and Macau (China) markets. Leveraging rednote's content and community advantages at home and abroad, it helps merchants break through geographical restrictions on operations and achieve cross-border sales growth.
