According to Alibaba.com President Zhang Kuo (张阔), the AI assistant acts as a “virtual purchasing consultant”: buyers can enter a simple request, and the AI refines needs through dialogue, generates quotes, and matches suppliers with smart comparison features.

During the September Procurement Festival, order volume jumped 69% YoY within just five days. Alibaba.com also announced partnerships with Mastercard to launch a co-branded credit card and with Maersk to provide more efficient cross-border logistics solutions, aiming to accelerate global B2B trade digitalization.
