Similar to the G3, P7 takes smart capability as the most prominent differentiation advantage, it also improves human-vehicle interaction and high-level intelligent assisted driving.
XPeng Motors announced that it will unveil its new high-end smart electric sedan, the P7 (internal code name E28), and its smart pure electric SUV, the G3, at the 18th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition on April 16.
The company will hold a press conference with the theme of "natural intelligence". In addition to the national debut of P7, it will comprehensively display its unique brand genes and innovative operation layout.
Similar to the G3, P7 takes smart capability as the most prominent differentiation advantage, it also improves human-vehicle interaction and high-level intelligent assisted driving. The P7 will be equipped with a powerful self-driving system-level chip, Nvidia DRIVE Xavier, which means the P7's hardware base is strong enough to support L3 autonomous driving.
XPeng Motors launched its first smart all-electric SUV, the G3, in December last year. As the capacity of Haima-XPeng smart factory climbs rapidly, the large-scale delivery of G3 has started at the end of March. The company also plans to deliver 10,000 by the end of July and 40,000 by 2019.
With the delivery of the G3, XPeng Motors is rapidly rolling out its entire ecosystem of mobility operations around its users. In terms of products, the XPeng G3 has undergone two OTA upgrades since its launch, based on existing user data and feedback. 40 new capabilities were added for the XPILOT 2.5 intelligent driving system, XPILOT 2.5 multi-scene automatic parking system, and Xmart OS onboard operating system, and 83 functional experiences were optimized.
XPeng Motors plans to gradually realize LCC lane centered assistance system, TJA traffic congestion assistance, ALC automatic lane change assistance, driver fatigue warning, front windscreen automatic visual wiper and other functions through multiple OTA upgrades by the end of 2019.
In addition, six cities of XPeng service centers in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing and Dongguan opened simultaneously on March 26.
On the basis of the original "experience center", the delivery and after-sales function modules are added, which can provide users with one-stop service scenarios of car purchase and vehicle use, including integrated experience display, delivery service and intelligent after-sales service.
XPeng has operated 20 offline outlets up to now and will reach the scale of more than 100 by the end of the year. And it plans to set up 34 service centers in 34 cities in 2019 to expand the scope of after-sales services.
With the addition of the new model P7 and the iterative evolution of the G3, XPeng was officially put into operation at 30 supercharger stations in five cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Wuhan on March 18.
The company plans to install 1,000 supercharging stations in the next three years, and the XPeng supercharging system will provide a range of services including smart pile finding, exclusive parking Spaces, reservation charging, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
