WIM Salon X XNode | Robotaxi First, Personal-Cars Later?

Automotive Author: Linyan Feng Jul 09, 2020 05:01 PM (GMT+8)

Come listen to auto practitioner's thoughts on how China’s autonomous driving will be in the future.

WIM Salon is a technology and innovation-focused event organized by EqualOcean.

Robocars are now being tested in over 10 cities in China. Didi launched its free robotaxi pick-up service in Shanghai days ago. Baidu already registered 140,000 autonomously driven kilometers in 2018. Huawei will be providing chipsets for Audi’s L4 self-driving vehicles. Other big-name Chinese companies have also joined the self-driving action including Tencent, NIO, BAIC Group, and Pony.ai.

The end-game for investing in e-hailing companies is actually autonomous driving as this is where investors expect greater profitability to be down the road.

High-level autonomous driving is at our doorstep, as dozens of leading tech companies and mobility service providers launch commercial services, and China is one of the most enticing markets.

The webinar is co-host by EqaulOcean and XNode. Join us on July 15 for a special webinar with auto expert Bob Wang and Joe Sun, in a discussion moderated by EqualOcean Kate Liang, to learn more about trends, competitive landscape, and potential hurdles in China's robotaxi industry.
