The mobile games industry has lured e-commerce giant JD.com to craft a layout for the industry supply chain.
Today, JD.com jointly launched the JD Esports plan with Tencent Games, ROG, Lenovo, hardware supply chain vendors and game live broadcast platforms. It aims to promote the development of the mobile gaming industry, focusing on the upstream and downstream layout of gaming equipment and e-sports events.
According to Daniel Tan, President of JD's Retail Communications Division, JD.com will deploy its advantages in traffic, technology and supply chain, helping partners maximize their commercial value by organizing e-sports events and related game activities, and innovative applications of cutting-edge technology.
According to the China game industry report, the number of mobile game players in Mainland China will reach 660 million in 2020. During the 618 periods of JD.com this year, the sales volume of gaming phones from June 1 to July 18 increased by 150% year-on-year, and the sales volume on June 12 increased by more than 400% year-on-year.
