WM EX5’s sales have exceeded 30,000 units, coming first of all the EV models among emerging new energy vehicle manufacturers.
According to WM Motor’s recent announcement, its vehicle sales in July 2020 is 2036 units. WM’s sales have consecutively increased for 5 months since February, showing a strong trend of recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since Q2 2020, WM Motor has performed better than the same period in 2019 in the EV market. Its sales for Q2 have a 77.8% YoY increase and the amount for July is almost double the YoY base. Accumulatively, the WM EX5’s sales have exceeded 30,000 units, coming first among all the EV models of emerging new energy vehicle manufacturers.
Chinese EV emerging forces’ performance in 2020 is better than most people’s expectations. Their share of the EV market has increased to around 15% compared with 6% a year ago. With the completion of Li Auto’s listing and Xpeng’s near USD 1 billion round C financing, emerging forces are expected to enter the fast-developing period and win more shares from traditional manufacturers in the Chinese EV market.
