In the three quarters of the year, Changan Automobile sold 1,370,900 vehicles, an increase of 12.15% year-on-year.
According to Changan Automobile’s disclosed sales report, in September, the firm racked up a sales volume of 205,500, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%, with positive year-on-year sales growth for six consecutive months.
According to the '2020 group production and sales target of 1.91 million vehicles' disclosed in the company’s 2019 annual report, it has completed 71.77% of the target.
Specifically, in September this year, the sales of Chongqing Changan, Hebei Changan, and Hefei Changan were 72,700, 7,024 and 26,500, respectively. The sales of Changan Chinese sub-brands in September reached 153,000, a year-on-year increase of 31.9%.
Changan Ford sold 27,700 vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 32.65%, with Changan Mazda selling a mere 14,900 vehicles, also a year-on-year increase of 16.11%.
However, Changan Automobile’s 2020 semi-annual report mentions the risk that, for the operating performance from January to September 2020, Changan Automobile’s net profit might be a loss or low compared with the same period last year.
