Today we are pleased to announce a new speaker for the North American chapter, Jesse Horwitz, Co-Founder and CEO at Hubble Contacts. He will share his insights on the disruption of e-commerce and new consumption in this era.
On December 9-11, 2020, EqualOcean will host this year's World Innovators Meet (WIM). WIM2020 will take on a bolder stance and adopt a more global outlook by taking the form of an online conference that will be streamed simultaneously in all countries and regions that champion the realm of technology and innovation.

The young entrepreneur graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics. In 2016, Horwitz and his co-founder launched Hubble Contacts, one of the fastest-growing e-commerce companies. During the same year, the company raised more than USD 70 million and along with his co-founder Ben Cogan, they both gained spots on on Forbes’ 30 Under 30.
Inspired to innovate, Jesse has also taken part in various other entrepreneurial projects as a founder, advisor, and board member. A few noteworthy mentions:: He is the co-founder at Mockingbird, a baby stroller brand, and BZR, a one-stop-shop DTC platform, as well as a board member for Andie Swim, a fashion and apparel company.
Jesse Horwitz's experience in the investment sector kicked off early in his career. In 2010 he joined the investment team at Columbia for the endowment and in 2015, he and Ben Cogan raised a seed capital to finance the company. Behind this investment was Wildcat Capital Management, the managing office for the founding partner of TPG Capital, David Bonderman. Their initiative is now the receptor of money from a great number of investors, including, FirstMark, Greycroft, Founders Fund, and Colgate-Palmolive, as well as consumers around the world.
Horwitz’s extensive entrepreneurial and leadership experience motivated him to write and publish his book Selling Naked, and how-to on direct-to-consumer marketing. Following his words, the book is a key guide to navigating the direct-to-consumer online world and it offers its readers a deep understanding into the development of technology in this sector and tips to startups and brick & mortar companies.
