On the last day of the first half of 2021, NIO set another record for the construction of its signature battery swap stations.

The company announced that 11 new battery swap stations went into operation in China today, the most in a single day.
This brings the company's battery swap station count to 300. In addition, its number of supercharging stations reached 200 as of today.
NIO's goal is to have 500 battery swap stations in China by the end of the year, which should be easily accomplished at the current pace.
NIO's 300th battery swap station is in the megacity of Shenzhen in southern China, with other new battery swap stations opened today in Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Nanjing, Leshan, Chongqing, Tianjin, Xingtai, Wuxi and Qionghai.
To date, NIO has 300 battery swap stations, 200 supercharging stations, 377 destination charging stations and access to more than 380,000 third-party charging posts in China.
NIO put five new battery swap stations into operation in Shanghai on Tuesday, the largest number the company has deployed in a single city in China in a single day.
The pace of NIO's swap station construction has accelerated significantly over the past two weeks, unlike before when a battery swap station was put into operation only every few days.
NIO's goal is to have its battery swap stations reach 500 in China this year.
William Li, NIO's founder, chairman and CEO, said in early April that this number was a public target for the public and that "the company's internal goal will be a little more aggressive and higher."
