Bilibili had a positive Q3 as the company saw growth in all of its departments, including active users. The company is expecting an even bigger gain in the next quarter.

Bilibili recorded CNY 5,206 million total net revenue, an increase of 61% from the same period in 2020; but the company also recorded CNY 1,622 million adjusted net loss, an increase of 68% from the same period in 2020.
Revenue from mobile gaming recorded an increase of 9% from the same period in 2020, reaching CNY 1,391 million. The company's enhanced effort in monetization led to an increase of 95% in value-added services (VAS) from the same period in 2020. Revenue from VAS was CNY 1,909 million.
Advertising revenue was recorded at CNY 1.72 billion, an increase of 110% from the same period in 2020. The increase is attributed to Bilibili's increased advertising efficiency, as well as increase in Bilbili's brand recognition in China. E-commerce and others also had an increase of 78% from the same period in 2020, recorded revenues of CNY 734 million. The increase is primarily attributed to increase in sales of products through Bilibili's e-commerce platform.
In 3Q 2021, average monthly active users (MAUs) reached 267 million, an increase of 35% from the same period in 2020. Mobile MAUs reached 249.90 million, an increase of 36% from the same period in 2020. Average daily active users, recorded 72.10 million, and average monthly paying users, recorded 23.90 million, both had an increase from the same period in 2020, with 35% and 59%, respectively.
Professional user generated video (PUGV) recorded 93% of all views on the platform. As of 3Q 2021, the amount of monthly active content creators reached 2.70 million, an increase of 61% from the same period in 2020.
Occupationally generated video (OGV) reached a 18.20 million, an increase of 42% from the same period in 2020.
Bilibili Inc. is expecting to record a revenue of CNY 5.70 billion to CNY 5.80 billion in 4Q 2021.
